Using Startup Repair in Windows Vista

tool helps fix problems such as corrupt and missing files
that may hamper with the Windows start up process and
prevent your system from booting up correctly. The Start

attempts to fix the errors it detects to restore your
system to its normal working condition.

Up Repair utility may either come preinstalled on your PC

to restart a few times, before the fixes are complete.
Although
useful, Start Up repair has its own drawbacks. You cannot
use the tool to resolve hardware failures and malware
infections. Also, you cannot use it to recover your
personal files. This is the reason why, you need to be a
vigilant user and perform the following tasks to keep
your PC secure and healthy:
·
Always use
effective virus and spyware scanner tools to regularly
scan your PC and to protect it from any type of malware
infection. To ensure that these tools are ready to combat
the latest malware, you should update them on regular
basis.
·
Repair
registry problems by scanning the registry on regular
basis—a good way of doing this is with the help of a good
registry repair tool which can perform this task
automatically. Many start-up issues may occur due to
problems within the Windows registry. Regular registry
clean up helps to prevent and more often repair these
issues.
·
Use backup
utilities to create a backup of your personal data to
ensure that you can retrieve your data easily, in the
event your PC fails.
·
Avoid
downloading and installing software from unsolicited Web
sites. These Web sites may secretly install spyware and
adware on your computer which can cause
havoc.
Windows
Vista Start Up Repair is a reasonably efficient utility
that helps you repair several PC problems. However, you
also need to be an alert and vigilant computer user. You
should not perform any task that can potentially harm
your system. It is also recommended that you have a
mechanism by which you can automatically protect your
computer from harmful software and the same mean by which
you can resolve the many types of errors that can occur
within the computer registry, which we all know can cause
a lot of grief.
